FUN FACT :So why were pistachios dyed in red? Originally to hide the stains on the shell that were caused by being picked by hand.
One serving is about 49 kernels, which has about 170 calories. I love pistachios and have a hard time managing them. In other words, I have a tendency to eat too many, so I put them in a snack bag, take what I need and leave the rest in a safe location.
